looking for signs

Next time you are walking to school make a note of the different signs. You could run a game with pupils in the school where you are testing their memory and if they have been paying attention on their way to school.

•     Choose a route around the school, or in your village
•     Write down the different signs that you see
•     Draw a map of the route and put in blank boxes where the signs are
•     Ask the pupils in the school to fill in the blanks for the different signs
•     You can make a box beside your notice board and get the pupils to put their sheets into the box
•     Give them a date for all the entries to be back
•     Do a prize draw at assembly
•     The winner is the first entry drawn with all the correct answers
