Green Cross Code (page 1 of 2)
The Green Cross Code is a set of rules to help you cross the road safely. If you follow the rules then you should be able to cross the road without being knocked down.

	Think first … find the safest place to cross then stop
	Stop … stand on the pavement near the kerb
	Use your eyes and ears … look all around for traffic and listen
	Wait until it’s safe to cross… if traffic is coming, let it pass
	Look and listen … when it is safe, walk straight across the road
	Arrive Alive … keep looking and listening for traffic while you cross.
